I can say without a doubt in my mind that both games are the best video games I have ever played, period, better than Legend of Zelda, better than Metroid, better than God of War, and mind you those are some of my favorite video games out there.
Bioshock keeps you engrossed into a lively story, has you make mature choices, and forces you to think on your feet when fighting enemies, what with the arsenal of plasmids and weapons you have with you. Set an enemy on fire, they'll go for a body of water to put it out, shoot a bolt of lighting out of your hand with Electro Bolt into said body of water to make short work of them, plant a few proximity mines on a dead body or some random object, then pick it up with your Telekenisis plasmid and fling it at a group of enemies to send them all sky high (in a figurative way, your in a underwater city, so the roofs the limit.)
Halo 3 delivers in every way that Halo 1 and 2 missed, it keeps up with the story of both the Chief and the Arbiter, without getting annoying, it delivers with the epic feel that battles had in Halo 1, the Arbiters AI is intelligent and can take care of itself (he's damn good at killing Brute Chieftains on his own, thats for sure), the Flood is back and is deadlier than ever (although in a good way), all the weapons behave the way they should and are a blast to use, and the ending is the undoubtably the most epic ending I have ever experinced, in a video game, period.
I could go on all day about these two, but with all honesty, if you own a 360, go out and get these two, if you own just a PC, get Bioshock and start the wait for Halo 3's arrival on PC.
I didn't go into anything about Halo's multiplayer yet, because I haven't gotten around to it just yet, but I'll get on that another day, for now, it's midnight, I'm off to bed.
Edit: I got around to the multiplayer today, spent more than half the time playing a new mode called Infection, basiclly its a mode where a few people start out as zombies (with melee weapons like the sword) and have to hunt down a team of humans (the humans using guns and the like) and if the zombie kills a human, they become a zombie as well. So the game just keeps going in a fun "who can survive the longest" sort of thing.
